جورج حنين هو المؤسس الأول للسوريالية المصرية ومحركها منذ العام 1936، فهو الذي استقدم إلى الشرق الأدنى أفضل الأفكار التحررية في الفكر الغربي، وضمن بالتالي لأصدقائه الأوروبيين تعاون فنانين شرقيين مشغوفين بالحرية. ولأجل التعرف بشكل أفضل على هذه الشخصية عني "ساران ألكسندريان" بوضع هذه الدراسة التي تكشف في شقها الأول عن هذا الشاعر الكتوم الذي يعتقد أن هدف الشعر هو "جعل إنسان الغد صعباً حيال اللغة" أما شقها الثاني فتضمن نماذج مميزة عن نتاج حنين الشعري.
