يسلط هذا التقرير الضوء على مسألة التنسيق الأمني بين السلطة و"إسرائيل" خلال فترة رئاسة ياسر عرفات للسلطة، ثم يعرض للترتيبات الأمنية حسب نصوص اتفاقات أوسلو، وما رافق ذلك من تشكيل الأجهزة الأمنية وتطورها، مـروراً بالتنسيق الأمني في أعقاب مؤتمر شرم الشيخ حول "مكافحة الإرهاب"، وصولاً إلى فترة انتفاضة الأقصى سنة 2000، وما تبع ذلك من تجميد للتنسيق الأمني. ويتناول التقرير التنسيق الأمني في فترة رئاسة محمود عباس للسلطة، وما صاحب ذلك من إعادة تشكيل الأجهزة الأمنية الفلسطينية، ومحاولات إحياء التنسيق الأمني وفق خارطة الطريق. ثم يعرض لخطة دايتون في أعقاب نتائج الانتخابات التشريعية بدايات سنة 2006، وتعزيز التنسيق الأمني في الضفة الغربية في أعقاب سيطرة حماس على قطاع غزة. وهذا التقرير هو الإصدار الحادي عشر من سلسلة تقارير معلومات، التي يقوم قسم المعلومات والأرشيف بمركز الزيتونة بإعدادها. وتهدف هذه التقارير إلى تسليط الضوء في كل إصدار على إحدى القضايا المهمة التي تشغل المهتمين والمتابعين لقضايا المنطقة العربية والإسلامية، وخصوصاً فيما يتعلق بالشأن الفلسطيني. وتزود هذه التقارير، التي تصدر بشكل دوري، القراء بمعلومات محدَّثة وموثقة ومكثفة في عدد محدود من الصفحات.
