هكذا فإن القرن الحادي والعشرين يبدأ بجيل من البشر هو جيل علوم ما بعد الجينوم، وهو أول جيل يتاح له أن يعرف معرفة وثيقة وصفة تركيبه الوراثي أو ما صنع منه الإنسان إلى أين ستقودنا هذه المعرفة الجديدة، وماذا يكون معناها، وما هي أهمية هذا المعنى بالنسبة لحياة الفرد والأسرة والمجتمع؟
