ولئن قلّ الكلام اليوم على الوجودية فلأنها ماثلة في كل شيء، فالماركسية هي وجودية للجماهير، كما أن الشخصانية هي وجودية للشخص المفرد، وها هو ذا "هيدجر" يعتبر اليوم من أقحاح الميتافيزيقيين، كما أن الشهرة التي أحرزها كتاب "سجناء ألتونا" توحي بأنه لم يزل لــ "سارتر" بالغ التأثير، وما كانت موجة السينما والقصة الحديثة على ما هي عليه لولا وجودية ما بعد الحرب الأخيرة، ثم إن المظهرية، وهي طريقة وجودية، نراها تعمل على تجديد علم النفس من أساسه، هذا في الغرب.
أما عندنا في الشرق فللوجودية معالمها عبر التاريخ، سواء في التفكير الإسلامي أو المسيحي.
فالصوفية الإسلامية قد حطّمت منذ البدء أُطرّ علم الكلام، وحتى أطر الفلسفة المعتبرة "تفككاً" في الفكر.
