هذا الكتاب هو محاولة جادة من المؤلف لعرض ودراسة فرقة البهائية، ومطالبهم عرضاً تاريخياً وثائقياً موضوعياً تحليلياً منذ نشأتها وحتى الآن تشمل هذه الدراسة على التعريف بتلك الفرقة واصلها التاريخي، ومعتقداتها مع بيان موقف الشريعة الإسلامية منها، ما صدر بشأنها من آراء فقهية لكبار رجال الدين الإسلامي، وكذلك ما صدر بشأنها من فتاوى شرعية قديماً وحديثاً، كما تتضمن عرضاً لما صدر بشأنها من قوانين في الدول العربية وفي مصر على وجه الخصوص، وما صدر بشأنها من فتاوى، وأحكام قضائية في الفترة السابقة على تاريخ صدور الدستور المصري سنة 1971، والفترة اللاحقة عليه.
كما تشتمل تلك الدراسة على بيان دور المحكمة الدستورية العليا، وهيئة قضايا الدولة، ومجلس الدولة المصري عبر التاريخ في صد هجمات البهائيين ومحاولاتهم المستمرة للاعتراف بنحلتهم الضالة المضلة في مصر، كما تحتوي هذه الدراسة على بيان المشكلة البهائية في مصر، والحل المقترح لحلها، والجدير بالاهتمام ما تضمنته تلك الدراسة من وثائق رسمية أغلبها تنشر كاملة لأول مرة منها ما يتعلق بنصوص القوانين الصادرة بشأنهم، وكذلك الأحكام والفتاوى القضائية، وما تضمنه ملحق الكتاب من صور للشخصيات والأماكن الخاصة بالبهائيين، فضلاً عن الوثائق الصادرة من المجلس الروحي البهائي والجامعة البهائية العالمية.
