كلود ليفي شتراوس (بالفرنسية: Claude Lévi-Strauss)؛ (28 نوفمبر 1908 - 30 أكتوبر 2009)، عالم اجتماع فرنسي. بدأ ليفي شتراوس تكوينه بدراسة الفلسفة غير أن هذه النظريات المجردة الاعتباطية البعيدة عن الواقع الاجتماعي ما لبثت أن خيبت آماله, فسافر إلى البرازيل حيث درّس علم الاجتماع واكتشف أعمال علماء الإنسان الأميركيين (غير المعروفة في أوروبا آنذاك) مثل بواس وكروبر ولووي . وبعد عودته إلى فرنسا سنة 1948 قدّم أطروحتة المتعلقة بالمشاكل النظرية للقرابة . انتخب أستاذًا في كوليج دو فرانس سنة 1959 وشغل كرسي الأنثروبولوجيا الاجتماعية الذي كان ل مارسيل موس من قبله. فكان لأعمال ليفي شتراوس وعلمه أكبر الأثر في مجال علم الإنسان والتحقيق الإثنولوجي الميداني.
Book Description
إن ليفي ستروس لم يكن أول من أشار، ولا هو الوحيد الذي أشار، إلى الطابع البنياني الذي يطبع الظاهرات المجتمعية. لكن أصالته تعود إلى أنه حمل هذا الطابع على محمل الجد واستخلص منه بروية وتأن كل ما يترتب عليه من نتائج. وهذا ما تدور حوله مقالات كلود ليفي ستروس السبعة عشر المجموعة في هذا الكتاب الذي نقلب صفحاته، جمعها المؤلف نفسه واختارها من بين عدة مئات من النصوص التي كتبها منذ ما يقارب الثلاثين عاماً، مستبعداً الأعمال ذات الطابع الناسوتي والوصفي المحض، فضلاً عن الأعمال ذات الطابع النظري، باعتبار أن خلاصتها قد أدرجت في كتابه " المداران الحزينان".
وثمة نصّان ينشران في هذا الكتاب للمرة الأولى (الفصلان الخامس والسادس عشر)، إلى جانب خمسة عشر نص آخر، يعتقد ستروس أنها قمينة بتوضيح المنهج البنياني في الإناسة.
