لقد جاءت فكرة هذا الكتاب بعد نشر الصحف المصرية خبر مذكرة التفاهم التي قامت بتوقيعها وزيرة القوي العاملة عائشة عبد الهادي مع الجانب السعودي ممثلاً في سعد البداح رئيس اللجنة الوطنية للاستقدام بالسعودية بشأن تشغيل المصريات في مهن "مديرات منزل" تشمل خادمات وكوافيرات وراعيات أطفال ومسنين، لذا فقد رأيت من واجبي إعلام المصريين بخطورة هذا الأمر، خصوصا بعدما اطلعت علي رأي الشارع المصري علي شبكة الإنترنت وقرأت الاف التعليقات في عشرات المنتديات حيث رفضته جملة وتفصيلا بنسبة 100%، بل أن الأغلبية العظمي من الأخوة السعوديين الذين شاركوا بأرائهم رفضوا هذا الإتفاق أيضا لانه سيجلب المشاكل للبلدين السعودية ومصر، لقد كان رأي الشارع المصري علي الإنترنت بمثابة استفتاء شعبي رائع يعبر بصدق واخلاص عن رأي المصريين رجالا ونساءا وكان هذا الكتاب احدي ثمراته.
