يرى المؤلف أن الوهابية ما هى إلا شئوم على العالم الإسلامي وخاصة في الحقبة الأخيرة من الزمان حيث تسببت أفكارها في المعاناة التى يعاني منها المسلمون في شتى بقاع الأرض هذه الأفكار التى أفرزت مجموعة من شباب اعتنقوا مبادئ هدامة ومارسوا الإرهاب على المسلمين وغير المسلمين مما جعل العالم كله يعتقد أن الإسلام دين يدعو إلى الإرهاب .. وهو يحاول من خلال تأليفه لهذا الكتاب عن الوهابية لرد هؤلاء الشباب إلى رشدهم وحتى يبين للناس حقيقة الوهابية.
لقد جاءت فكرة هذا الكتاب بعد قراتى لكتاب " إبراء الذمة بتحقيق القول حول افتراق الأمة " لفضيلة الاستاذ / محمد إبراهيم عبد الباعث الحسينى الكتانى وموضوعه فريد للغاية ويدور حول تصحيح فهم المسلمين لحاديث رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن افتراق المة على ثلاث وسبعين فرقة وأن المقصود بهذه الأمة التى افترقت هى امة الدعوة اما امة الاجابة فتمثل فرقه واحدة فقط من هذه الفرق وهى امة الإسلام . لذا رايت استكمالا لهذا الفهم الجيد والقصد الرشيد لجميع شمل الأمة الإسلامية - تسليط الضوء على الفكر الوهابى الذى تسبب فى توسيع شقة الخلاف بين المسلمين وإعطاءه الفرصة ولو بدون قصد لأعداء الأمة الإسلامية لتنفيذ مخططاتها الهدامة التى سيجدها القارئ فى ملحق الكتاب تحت مسمى " مذكرات مستر همفر " رجل المخابرات البريطانية فى البلاد الإسلامية فى القرن الثامن عشر .
