تحت عنوان (جدلية الواقع والمتخيل) يقدم أ.د. محمد بن مريسي الحارثي قراءة في شعر الدكتور عبد الله محمد صالح باشراحيل، بغية استنطاق الروح الإسلامية، والروح القومية ذات الأصول العربية التي كثيراً ما اعتد بها الشاعر، والبعد الوطني المنتمي إلى البيئة العربية، وكذلك البعد الإنساني.
يتضمن الكتاب خمسة دراسات لشعر عبد الله محمد باشراحيل البعض منها نشر سابقاً للمؤلف من ضمن قراءته الخاصة للشعر السعودي والذي قدم فيها أكثر من دراسة. والدراسات هي:
1- (شاعرية مكة) وقد نُشرت ضمن بحوث (موسوعة مكة المكرمة. الجلال والجمال ...) عام 2005م بمناسبة إختيار مكة المكرمة عاصمة للثقافة الإسلامية.
تداخل الأزمنة في شاعرية مكة. وقد نُشر هذا البحث ضمن أعمال الدورة الثامنة لجائزة محمد حسن فقي بالقاهرة. وكان عنوانه آنذاك (تداخل الأزمنة في شعر باشراحيل المكي).
3- (شاعرية الوقار)، من حيث شرف المقاصد الشعرية عند باشراحيل.
4- (وحشة الروح) وهذا عنوان للديوان الخامس من شعر باشراحيل وهو مبحث في التحية للديوان عند صدوره، وبعض تعليقات الرئيس عبد العزيز بو تفليقة على الديوان.
5- تجليات العروبة في شعر باشراحيل) وتعد هذه الدراسة بحسب المؤلف من باب نقد النقد على هذا العنوان الذي اختاره الدكتور مصطفى عبد الغني لكتابة عن تجليات العروبة في شعر باشراحيل.
وعودُ على بدء، يبقى السؤال مشروع حول أهمية هذه الدراسة (جدلية الواقع والمتخيل) وليس أكثر من المؤلف من يستطيع التعبير عن عمله فيقول في المقدمة: الجدل مستوى من مستويات الحوار المرتكز على المنطق العقلاني البرهاني الذي يوهمك باعتناق الشيء المجادل فيه، أو الإنصراف عنه بقوة الحجة في هذا، وذاك، وإيهامك بأن هناك جدلاً منطقياً بين الحقيقة، والخيال، بأن الأمر لا يتعدى ارتحال الصورة من حال إلى حال. ومتعلقات هذا الإرتحال بين دوائر ذهنية ونفسية، ولغوية، وخيوط النسيج الممتدة في محطات التلقي بين المبدع، والنص ...
