لا يخفى أن لأعمال القلوب منزِلة وقَدْراً وجَلَالة، ومَكَانة عظيمة في دين الله عزّ وجلّ، فإنها تتعلَّق برُكْن شريف؛ ألا وهو القَلْب، وهو مَلِكُ الجوارح والأعضاء، وهي خَدَمُهُ وجنوده؛ ولا شك أن شَرَف العلمِ بشَرَفِ متعلَّقة؛ فالعلم الذي يتعلَّق بالقلب أشرَفُ مِن العلم الذي يتعلَّق بغيره.
وحديثنا في هذا الكتاب سيكون - بحَوْل الله - عن القَلْب والأعمال المتعلَّقة به.
وهذا الموضوع الجليل العظيم يُعَدُّ مِن المقاصد، لا مِن الوسائل، ونحن إنما ندرُسُ بعض العلوم - كأصول الفقه، ومصطلح الحديث، والنحو، وما إلى ذلك - ليكون مِرْقاةً للفقه في الدين؛ أصولاً وفروعاً، وإنَّ مِن أعظَم الفقه وأجلِّه الفقهَ في الدِّينِ المتعلِّق بالأعمال القلبيَّة، فإن قلوبنا إن صلَحَتْ، صلَحَت أعمالنا، واستقامتْ أحوالنا، وزال كثيرٌ مِن مشكِلاتنا، وإن فسَدَتْ هذه القلوب، فسَدَتْ أعمال العبد، واضطرَبَتْ عليه أحواله، ولم يَعُدْ يتصرَّف التصرُّف الرشيد الذي يُرْضِي ربه ومولاه، فيَخسَرُ الدنيا والآخرة.
