هذا الكتاب هو رؤيا حديثة لموضوع قديم.. الموضوع هو قصة جلجامش ذلك الأثر الملحمي الذي خلدته الرقم الطينية البابلية.. والرؤيا هي النتاج التطبيقي للأسس العامة للفكر القصدي على نص الملحمة وعلى نصوص أخرى ذات قيمة عليا تجري في مجراها وتشير إليها من أوضح طريق، وبخاصة النص القرآني الشريف...
يهدف هذا البحث إلى البرهنة على عدة نتائج تتعلق بالبحث الآثاري في تاريخ العراق القديم، وتخص بطل الملحمة جلجامش. فتتخذ من هذه الشخصية محوراً للتوصل إلى تلك النتائج والتي منها: النتيجة الأولى: إن هذه الشخصية ليست شخصية أسطورية، وإنما هي شخصية حقيقية أوتيت من المعارف العلمية الدقيقة ما عجزت عنها عقول الناس في تلك الحقبة، وما زال يعجز عن حسم النقاش حول بعضها الآخر العلم الحديث رغم تطوره. النتيجة الثانية: إن جلجامش استطاع الانطلاق إلى الفضاء الخارجي مستعملاً السرع الفائقة بآلات معينة.
والبحث هنا لا يتوقف عند تحليل النص على أنه يمثل رحلة خيالية في الفضاء، الأمر الذي يمكن إدراكه فوراً من تعبيرات عديدة في الملحمة وهي تصف بحثه الدؤوب عن (أوتو-نوبشتم) القاصي.
بل يذهب البحث إلى ما هو أكثر من ذلك، يذهب إلى أن جلجامش قد قام برحلة فعلية إلى الفضاء، وذلك لأن الملحمة انطوت على م معلومات عن الفضاء، وطبيعته، والسرع النسبية، والمغناطيسية الأرضية.. يستحيل معها افتراض أن ذلك وقع مصادفة أو من غير تجارب علمية حقيقية.
النتيجة الثالثة: البرهنة من خلال هذا البحث على مدى التجني الذي أدى إليه التفسير العشوائي للنصوص، على الأمانة التاريخية من جهة، وعلى البطل جلجامش خصوصاً من جهة ثانية، وعلى العراقي القديم من جهة ثالثة.. العراقي الذي وصفه الشراح بأوصاف مشينة بناءً على ترجمات تعسفية وشروح أكثر تعسفاً معتمدة هي بدورها على ترجمات قاصرة للنصوص القديمة.
