ولأجل هذه الأسباب ونظراً لغزارة المادة التاريخية التي قدّمتها مصادر جنوب غربي الجزيرة العربية، فقد جاء هذا الكتاب للفت أنظار هؤلاء الباحثين والمهتمين للعناية بهذه المادة التاريخية القيّمة، عطفاً عن كونه يفحص بعينٍ نقدية مصادر جنوب غربي الجزيرة العربية المؤرّخة للدولة السعودية الأولى من حيث منهجيتها، وكيفية تناولها للأحداث التاريخية التي كانت محوراً رئيساً فيها.
