يتناول هذا البحث دراسة الإطار النظري للخصخصة, حيث يدرس مفهومها وأساليبها وأهدافها وأسبابها ومقوماتها ومشكلاتها وآثارها, ثم بعد ذلك يدرس تجربة السعودية في الخصخصة كدراسة تطبيقية أستعرض الباحث فيها أسباب الخصخصة في المملكة العربية السعودية وعمليات التحضير لها وأستراتيجيتها وأسس إعداد هذه الإستراتيجية وأهدافها والترتيبات الإدارية والتنفيذية لهذه الإستراتيجية وأساليب الخصخصة في المملكة والمبادئ الأساسية التي يتم مراعاتها في تنفيذ عملية الخصخصة والخطوات الأساسية لعملية الخصخصة لمشروع أو مؤسسة عامة والقضايا الأساسية التي تتم معالجتها خلال عمليات التخصيص.
ثم ينتهي البحث بدراسة أثر الخصخصة علي الإقتصاد السعودي من خلال تأثير الخصخصة علي المتغيرات الإقتصادية التي يمكن قياسها, وتم أختبار مدي جوهرية تأثير الخصخصة علي المتغيرات الإقتصادية بأستخدام أختبار شو مع توضيح مقدار (متمثل في تغير المتوسط وتغير الميل) ونوع الأثر - إيجابي أم سلبي - علي كل متغير.
ويتكون هذا البحث من ثلاثة فصول رئيسة يمكن عرضها علي النحو التالي: الفصل الأول - يدرس أساسيات مفاهيم وأساليب وأهداف وأسباب ومقومات ومشكلات وآثار الخصخصة.
الفصل الثاني - يدرس تجربة الخصخصة في السعودية.
الفصل الثالث - يدرس أثر الخصخصة علي الإقتصاد السعودي.
