العولمة هي تعاظم شيوع نمط الحياة المادي الإستهلاكي الغربي وتعاظم آليات فرضه سياسياً وإقتصادياً وإعلامياً وعسكرياً بعد التداعيات العالمية التي نجمت عن انهيار الاتحاد السوفيتي وسقوط المعسكر الشرقي وعلى ذلك فإن العولمة تكتسب عالميتها من مدى اتساع قدرتها على فرض هذا النمط على الشعوب وليس على أساس كونها واقعاً فعلياً يحيط بالشعوب والبلدان وعلى الرغم من الأهمية البالغة لتحليل الإقتصاديين للمسألة فإن أخطر ما في الموضوع هو أن طرح القضية على أساس كونها مجرد صراع حول المصالح الإقتصادية يمثل تغييباً لوعي الشعوب الإسلامية على وجه الخصوص لأنه ينطوي على مصادرة مبدئية فحواها أن المسألة المتنازع عليها لا تعدو كونها خلافاً في التشكيل النسبي لتلك المصالح المتنازع عليها داخل إطار المنظور المادي للوجود، والسؤال المطروح الآن هل يقبل الإسلام العولمة على افتراض وثوقه من نتائجه الإقتصادية المثمرة؟
إننا لكي نجيب على هذا السؤلا يجب أن ننتقل إلى طاولة بحث أخرى. هذا إذا لم نقلب تلك الطاولة التي يدور البحث عليها حول التفاوض على مكاسب أو خسائر تعميم النموذج الإستهلاكي الغربي لأن المنظور الإسلامي أكبر إتساعاً وشمولاً من ذلك الإطار المادي الضيق الذي تسعى العولمة في نطاقه والغايات الإسلامية التي تنطلق من هذا المنظور تتجاوز تلك الغايات المادية الإستهلاكية إلى غايات أرحب تواصل الدنيا بالآخرة وتستوعب الأبعاد المختلفة للإنسان المادية والروحية معاً.
