إنه الأمر في غاية الروعة أن يكتب امرؤ شعراً، لأن ذلك إنما يتم إما عن موهبة، وهبها الله تعالى إياها، أو عن ملكة اكتسبها من حبّه أو حفظه للشعر أو من عشقه للأدب وإنغماسه في بحوره وفنونه.
ولكن الأكثر روعة هو أن يقوم الشاعر بتخميس أبيات لشاعر آخر، ومنطلق الروعة هنا أمران: الأول: إن تخميس بعض القصائد أو الأبيات الشعرية، إنما يدل على إهتمام الشاعر المُخمّس بتلك القصائد والأبيات لما تمثله من ميزة جمالية وموضوعية، الثاني: قدرة الشاعر المُخمِّس الشعرية على إضافة شطوره الثلاثة على كل بيت من الشعر بما يحافظ على ترابط الموضوع والمعنى، والتأسيس لمضمون ومعنى أوسع وأشمل.
والمتنقل بين صفحات هذا الديوان يجد أروع الأبيات المخمسة نظماً ومضموناً، والتي نظمت في شخص الإمام الحسين عليه السلام وأهل بيته، وفي نهضته المباركة في العاشر من محرم سنة 61 هجرية، من قبل شعراء كبار، حفظت لهم صفحات التاريخ مكانتهم وجدارتهم الشعرية على مر السنين، مخمَّسة من قبل شعراء لا تقل مكانتهم وجدارتهم عمن خَمَّسوا لهم أشعارهم.
وفي هذا الجزء من أجزاء دائرة المعارف الحسينية الكبرى المباركة، الجزء الثاني من ديوان التخميس تجد أنه يضم بين دفتيه مائة واثنتين وثلاثين مقطوعة شعرية مُخمّسة، استهلكت من الوقت الكثير ومن الجهد الوفير من مساعي مؤلف هذه الموسوعة الشيخ الدكتور محمد صادق محمد الكرباسي في البحث والتنقيب في مطاوي الكتب، ومن خلال المتابعة الشخصية مع الشعراء المعاصرين، أو أبناء وأحفاد الراحلين عن هذه الدنيا.
