لا يدرى إنسان متى بدأ ذلك؟ لا يمكن تحديد سنة معينة أو تاريخ محدد. لكن يذكر الكثيرون أن القلق كبر في النفوس بعد صدور المجموعة الثانية من الصياغات الاجرائية والتي أباحت حق تملك الأراضي بالنسبة للأغراب، ارتفعت أصوات بالاحتجاج. في مواجهتها نشر العديد من المقالات في جميع الصحف على اختلاف اتجاهاتها، ألقيت محاضرات، ظهرت رسوم كاريكاتير، وأفلام قصيرة تعرض في دور السينما قبل الأفلام الطويلة، هوجم المشككون ومثيروا الاعتراضات. في نفس الوقت سارت حركة بيع الأراضي جنباً مع الأمور الأخرى، وبعد إبادة جميع وثائق هذه السنين، وإعادة طبع الدوريات والنشرات الصادرة في الزمن القديم وتحريرها، وتغييرها بما يتمشى مع الأحداث التي جرت بعد ذلك، ضاعت كل التفاصيل، لكن وصلت إلى العديدين دراسة لا يعرف من كاتبها؟ قيل أنه شخص لا وجود له، وأن بعض السكان الأصليين أعدوها بعد طلوعهم إلى الجيل، وقال آخرون أنها شهادة من الأيام، ولم تطبع في كتب، كل النسخ التي تم تداولها مكتوبة بخطوط يدوية، بعضها أنيق، منها المتعثر، كأنه لأطفال في الابتدائية، أو لكبار لم يكملوا تعليمهم، وجدت محتوياتها منقوشة على الصخور، وعندما تهدهد الأم طفلها فإنها تذكر له عبارات منها، وتحكي ما جرى، ولا يدري أحد من يدفع إلى ذلك، ومن يبقي التفاصيل في أذهان الخلق، لكن إذا قبل أحد السكان الأصليين الإجابة يقول، حتى لا ينسى مخلوق ما جرى لأرض الوادي، وحتى يتجه الجميع إلى أرض مصر..
