هذا كتاب الفوائد للإمام شمس الدين ابن قيم الجوزية الشهير بابن القيم عليه رحمة الله تعالي, وهذا الكتاب المبارك ليس هو كتاباً يحتوي علي أبواب وفصول ومباحث كبقية الكتب, وإنما هو عبارة عن خواطر إيمانية يتجلي الله عز وجل علي من يشاء من عباده, فكان كلما سنح بفكر الإمام شىء من هذا الدر المنثور قيده علي الفور, ولست أظن أبداً أنه جلس لكتابة هذا الكتاب في يوم أو يومين أو أسبوع وإنما أخذ منه وقتاً طويلاً, كلما مر بخاطره شىء منه قيده, وكلما رأي عبرة وعظة في حياته أنار بها السطور بمداد قلمه.
وأذكر أنني قد قرأت ذا الكتاب منذ عشرين عاماً (1980) ولم أكن ـــ في الحقيقة ــ أستوعب كل ما قاله ابن القيم رحمه الله, ثم من الله تعالي علي في يوم من الأيام , فعرفت ما تحتويه تلك الكلمات من النور والهدي, فالكتاب ليس عبارة عن مسألة فقهية تصدي لها, وليس كتاباص يبحث في شيء من تلك العلوم الآلية التي يمكن لكل أحد أن يستوعبها ويحفظها, بل الكتاب عبارة عن إشارات من الهدي, وعلامات من النور, وقبسات من التقوي, يسبح ابن القيم بها في آفاق التقوي والورع والزهد, والرقائق, فهو يركز علي واجبات القلوب فيجليها لنا حتي نسعي في تحصيلها, ويبين لنا أمراض القلوب حتي نتجنبها, ويسبح في أعماق النفس الإنسانية ويتنقل بين ثناياها وخفاياها.
