يُعنى هذا الكتاب بدراسة الخطاب الصحوي وتحليله تحليلاً علمياً قصد الوقوف على مضامينه وآليات اشتغاله وكيفيات انبنائه، باعتباره تيّاراً دينياً وفكرياً مهيمناً إلى حد بعيد على الساحة الدينية، ومؤثراً في الحياة الفكرية والسياسية والأجتماعية والثقافية فيها بصورة مركزيّة. وإن تزايد أهمية هذا التيار، وجّه أنظار الدارسين إليه تنقيباً عن منشئه وأصوله الفكرية والإجتماعية والحركية ومراحل تطوّره ومآلاته المحتملة، خاصة مع امتداد تأثيره إلى مناطق أخرى واسعة من العالم الإسلامي، ووجود تواصل متعدد الوجوه بين أنصاره في مختلف الدول، وشمول تأثيره نواحي مختلفة من الحياة العامة والفردية.
ضمن هذا الإهتمام العام المستحق يندرج هذا البحث، منطلقاً من التناول الموضوعي لفكر الصحوة من دون التأثّر بمواقف مسبقة دينية أو سياسية أو إجتماعية، وقاصداً العرض الموضوعي للأفكار والتحليل المتوازن للمواقف. في هذا البحث، يسعى المؤلف إلى معرفة خطاب الصحوة وتبيان خصائصه وكيفيات اشتغاله استناداً إلى تحليل علمي منهجي.
يتوزع الكتاب على خمسة فصول متكاملة تمثل بمجملها مدوّنة تشتمل على جملة من النصوص الصحوية الفاعلة، وتجسّد جزءاً مهماً من الحراك الفكري والديني التي أنتجها بعض شيخ وكتّاب الصحوة البارزين أمثال سفر الحوالي وعبد الرحمن المحمود وناصر العمر وعبد العزيز العبد اللطيف وعبد العزيز الطريفي ورقية المحارب وإبراهيم السكران وفهد العجلان ... وغيرهم.
