يضم هذا الكتاب حصيلة أكثر من عشرين عاما من البحث والدراسة المعمقة لمصادر التطريز ونشأة الأثواب الفلسطينية في المتاحف المختلفة حول العالم، بدءا من فنون النسجيات العربية خلال العصور القديمة مرورا بلفنون العصور الوسطى حتى عصرنا هذا، موثقة تطور الثوب وفنون النسجيات في مناطق فلسطين المختلفة خلال القرن التاع عشر وأوائل القرن العشرين .
