حين يشتغل الباحث بالعلاقة بينهما من خلال نماذج من الرواية العربية المصرية؛ فإنه بذلك يخوض تجربة بحث قلما اهتم بها دارسو الرواية، من جهة، وبوقوفه على تقنيات المونتاج الأربع كان بذلك يضطلع بدور مهم في إبراز تلك العلاقة بدراية وعمق، من جهة ثانية.
إن تطوير الدراسات السردية رهين بالإنفتاح على السرد حيثما وجد، وخاصة السينما، كما أن تطوير المنجز السردي العربي، سينمائياً وروائياً، وهو ينفتح على الدراسات السردية، جدير بتحقيق التكامل والتفاعل بين الإبداع والتحليل، ومن هنا تأتي قيمة هذه الدراسة المهمة.
