سوف يصبح النشر هو أداتنا لإخضاع الجهود النظرية والبحثية لمناقشات الرأى العام الثقافي وأحكامه فيتحقق مبدؤنا بألا نبقي شيئا في العتمة بل لابد من الخروج كلية إلى النور وكنت يوم أن كلفني وزير الثقافة الفنان فاروق حسنى برئاسة اكاديمة الفنون يوم 8/8/ 2004 قد خرجت من لقائي به ونصب عيني ثمة مسار ان رئيسيان هما : تحديث المناهج التعليمية للفن فين الاكاديمية والاستباك مع المجتمع ثقافة وابداعا. وفي واحد من أبرز تخطيطاتنا في اتجاه ذلك الهدف جاءت فكرتنا باصدار سلسلة "دفاتر الاكاديمية " التى سيتحمل المؤلف في كل عدد منها مسئولية الطرح الذي يقدمه على سبيل الاسهام المباشر في حركة الفكر والثقافة العربية سواء بما يثيره من قضايا او بما يقدمه من اداء معرفي يراه لازما للأخرين. واعتبرات ذلك نهجا ومسارا جديدا بالأكاديمية ليكون محتوى الاصدار المنضور قابلا للرفض او للتبني وللحذف او للإضافة وللمديح او للهجوم غبر النقد والحوار الجدال والتحليل إلى اخر صور التفاعل الحي التى بدونها لا يكون إلا ذلك الشح وهو المساوى عندنا لفقدان الحياة او ما يسمونه الموت السريري. هذا إلا اننا قد اخترنا لبداية سلسلة الفاتر دفترا يحمل سمة الجماعية في المفهوم ليكون طرح القناعة الجاعية في اتفاقنا الذى هو قرارانا حول تكاملية الفنون وتراسلها بمثابة العتبرة التى ندخل عبرها إلى بقية ا السلسلة وها نحن نبدأ.
