روى مسلم في أوائل صحيحه عن ابن المبارك أنه قال "الإسنادُ من الدين ولولا الإسناد لقال من شاء ما شاء" وبالجملة فإن الأسانيد كما قال النووي "من المُهمات المطلوبات بحيث ينبغي لمُعلم العلم وطالِبهِ معرفتُها ويقبحُ بهما جهالتها" ومن ثَمَّ اعتنى بتحريرها الأئمةُ الثقاتُ وألفوا في تدوينها الأثبات.
من هذا المنطلق، جمعت هذه الرسالة المختصرة مقتصراً فيها على بعض ما وقع للشيخ عبد الله الهرري من قراءة لأسانيد الكتب الستة المشهورة والموطأ، وأضفت إليها ثلاثة من أمهات كتب الحديث وهي مسند أحمد وسنن البيهقي وصحيح ابن حبان وقعت له قراءة لبعضها وإجازة لباقيها وذلك من طرق متعددة وقدمتها بالحديث المسلسل بالأولية وتركت الإطالة في الأسانيد واقتصرت على بعض ما وقع له فيها من العلو وبسطتها في الثبت الكبير الذي أجمعه في أسانيد الشيخ الهرري.
