إنّ القطيعة بين المدرستين (السنّة والشيعة) حقيقة مُرّة ومؤلمة، وهي لم تنشأ من فراغ، فقد أسهم علم الكلام المبني على منطق الفرقة الناجية، والقائم على مزاعم كل فرقة بإحتكار الحقيقة والجنة، في التأسيس والتنظير لهذه القطيعة، ما أدّى إلى إيجاد فرزٍ إجتماعيٍّ حادٍّ بين المسلمين، وخلق مناخات نفسيّة مؤاتية تتقبّل الفتاوى التي تنتقص من حرمة الآخر وتنتهك كرامته وتبيح لعنه وسبّه وغيبته...
والذي أراه نافعاً ومفيداً في هذا المجال، ووسط الأجواء المذهبيّة الملتهبة التي نعيشها، أن يسعى أتباع كل مذهب للعمل الإصلاحيّ في إطار مدرستهم الفقهيّة أو الكلاميّة؛ لأنّ إنخراط الباحث في القراءة النقديّة للمدرسة المذهبيّة الأخرى، لن يُجدي نفعاً ولن يَجِدَ آذاناً صاغية، لا سيّما إذا كان النقدُ على طريقة تسجيل النقاط على الفريق الآخر.
