"المبدع إنسان، قد يصيب وقد يخطئ، قد يتقدم مرة، ويتأخر أخرى، وشهرة المبدع أو مكانته لا تمنحه أية حصانة من النقد، وهذه الحصانة قد تكون ممنوحة لأسباب تخص المجتمع، الذي يرضى بالسائد ويسكت عنه، لكنها لا يمكن أن تخصّ الناقد، الذي لا يخضع لغير معايير النقد.
لقد سقط - في وطننا العربي خصوصاً - نقاد معروفون، لأنهم خضعوا لسلطة السائد، أو سلطة المجتمع، أو سلطة المال، أو سلطة الشهرة التي يحظى بها بعض المبدعين، أو سلطة الأحزاب والفصائل، التي تحاول أن تعزز مكانة ما اخترعت من مبدعيها، وربما عن طريق النقاد المنتمين إليها، مثل هذا يحدث في بلادنا في أحيان يصعب قبولها، حيث تحاول بعض الأقلام النقدية أن تخفي الوضوح في ما هو واضح، بالحديث العام الذي لا يمسّ النص، أو باللفّ والدوران الذي لا يقول شيئاً، أو بالنفاق المباشر، الذي تقف وراءه مكاسب لها ألوان فاقعة.
قد يلحق بهذا الركب، الذي يعي جيداً ما يفعل، ويستثمره جيداً، بعض من يردّدون نصيحة الأعرابية لإبنها؛ خالف تذكر! من بينهم من لا يكتبون إلا عن المشاهير، أو من يقصرون حديثهم على النص، لا على ما يقوله، وكأن هناك مشرطاً يقطع بين النص وما يقوله، لكن هؤلاء ليسوا محسوبين على جهة النقد، وإنما هم متسلقون على شجرته، وربما مستفيدون من واقع ثقافي لا يحسن لهم نفياً".
