يتضمن هذا الكتاب 15 قصة قصيرة تتراوح بين صفحة ونصف الصفحة وأربع صفحات، بالإضافة إلى 16 نصّاً مكثفاً أفردت لها قسماً أسمته «نتحدر كدمعة». وجاء على الغلاف الخلفي للكتاب «حين تتحول الكتابة إلى هاجس يؤرق المهجوسة بها، عندها لا تملك الواحدة مثل إلاّ أن تستمد من حياتها الخاصة نصوصاً وأقاصيص قصيرة، تسرد فيها للقارئ المفترض جوانب شتّى مما يتجلّى لها. تكتب ذلك بوعيٍ واضح، مدركة للفارق بين النص الحر المفتوح على اللاتجنيس، وآخر قريب جداً من مفهوم (القصة/ اللقطة) تارةً، والقصة المألوفة تارة أخرى». ثمة نص بعنوان «تحول» وهو عبارة عن سطر واحد، حيث تقول: «تحَوَلَتْ رجلاً. فقد تعبَتْ روحها المتسامحة من الـ... غفران». وتكتب نص بعنوان «عدالة» وهو عبارة عن سطران: «قطعَت الطريق جرياً. كانت تريد أباها أن يرى شهادتها الممهورة بالامتياز. لكنه لم يلتفت إليها أبداً. فقد كان مشغولاً بتجفيف دموع أخيها الفاشل». أما في نص «حين حلمتُ بالبحر» تكتب: «حين حلمتُ بالبحر لم أفكر باليابسة كثيراً. لم أرسم مشاجب للمعاطف المبللة كيما تجف. حين حلمتُ بالبحر، حررتُ جدائلي، ومضيتُ باتجاه الغرق».
