لم يستسغ أبوها أفكارها الغريبة واعتمد على الآم فى محاولات حثيثة لتعديل تلك الاتجاهات الشيطانية، إى أن الأم كانت مشغولة بنفسها وقد أرقها كيفية التكيف فى مجتمع غريب عن طباعها الهادئة الرزينة، لذلك اكتفت بالإرشاد والتوجيه على عجل، دون الالتفات والمتابعة، فيكفيها شعورها بالتعثر أمام نفسها والفشل فى استيعاب ثقافة الآخر الذى يواجهها فى الجيرة والمول والمغسلة وكل مكان، حتى لكنتها التى تحاول أن تبدو طبيعية وتلقائية تخونها بعض التعبيرات اللغوية الركيكة والتى لم تعد متداولة، لم تكن منطلقة وروحها سابحة فى الفضاء مثل زوجها، بينما سارة على الجانب الآخر تشكل هويتها ومعتقداتها وفقا لهواها وغريزتها فى حب البقاء وإثبات الذات، مما جعلها صلبه مثل الوتد، عرفت كيف تنغرس فى أرض رملية متحركة، فهى لا تريد أن تبتلع فى دواماتها المخيفة.
