ويوضح أن الصراع المحتدم بين المستوطنين اليهود والفلسطينيين كان جوهره الدائم هو الأرض والسكان والماء.
ويوثق المؤلف الأولوية المعطاة في السياسية الإسرائيلية لمحاولة قمع أو طرد الفلسطينيين، إمّا بالحرب وإمّا بالسلم، ولا تقتصر هذه النزعات الإمبريالية على المتطرفين فحسب، إذ إن الكتاب يكشف عن السياسات التوسعية الكامنة في الصهيونية العمالية وأيديولوجيا الحاخام كوك.
