حاصلة على شهادة الدكتوراه في اللغة الإنكليزية وآدابها من جامعة ووريك في إنكلترا.
مديرة إدارة الإعلام الخارجي في وزارة الخارجية السورية منذ عام 2002.
أستاذة الشعر والأدب المقارن في قسم اللغة الإنكليزية جامعة دمشق وأستاذة الأدب العالمي في الدراسات العليا في القسم نفسه.
عضو رابطة كيتس وشيلي في الولايات المتحدة صدرت لها العديد من المؤلفات والكتب باللغتين الإنكليزية والعربية.
