لذا وجب علينا الاحتياط من هذا وذاك والتماس العزة فى القوة, بعد أن كانت- قديما حسب الأديان- تلتمس فى القيم والمبادئ والصدق والاتساق الإنسانى, وهذا ما يفرض علينا لمواجهة قوى البغي والضلال والعدوان, ولكن أليس اللهاث خلف القوة يقودنا إلى تماثل الغابة؟!
تكشف هذه الرواية عن اصطراع قوى ارتبطت بنوايا خبيثة تواطأت جميعا للإيقاع بالمثالية وتمكنت من هزيمتها, ولكن تبقى الآمال معقودة على ما يتمخض عنه المستقبل, من إفراز جيل جديد يستحضر القوى ويستهجن نوايا الحقد والخبث, ولكنا نفجع حين ندرك أن قوى السيطرة والتحكم والإذلال قد غيرت- هي الأخرى- مناهجها وطريقتها, وما زالت تسيطر وتهيمن, فمتى نستطيع مواكبتها وتخطيها وقيادتها. أليس الأمر فقط يحتاج إلى رجال؟!
