قصائد الشاعر "أشرف الزغل" مثلت نفساً جديداً لتجربة مختلفة في الشعر تعتمد عناصر المفارقة والسخرية في إزاحة المألوف اليقيني وإقامة بنى تخيلية جديدة عبر التشفير الدلالي والرمزي للغة، كل ذلك نجده في ثنايا المشهد الصوَري الذي تتنازعه أفكار الشاعر والحياة عموماً والتي بدت متخفية في طبقات النص كمنظومات دالة. لنقرأ له: "شيء ما/ خطف أوراق جارتي الشجرة/ خمس ورقاتٍ/ كانت تحملنَ كتعويذة منذ أول تشرين/ لعلها دودة شرهة/ لعلها قوة الجذب: الوحش القابع تحت كل شيء/ لعلها الفصول: فلسفة المسافة بين اللون واللون/ لعلها الحواسَ أو اللغة، هل اللغة حاسة من الحواس؟/ تتشابه الفصول على الحواسَ/ تتشابه الحواس على اللغة/ تسقط فصل ويصعد فصل (...)".
