شهلا العجيلي كاتبة أردنية سورية ولدت عام 1976. حاصلة على دكتوراه في الأدب العربي الحديث والدراسات الثقافية من جامعة حلب، وعملت بتدريس الأدب العربي الحديث في جامعة حلب والجامعة الأميركية في مادبا في الأردن.
الجوائز
أصدرت مجموعة قصصية بعنوان "المشربيّة" (2005) ودراسات نقدية عديدة، من بينها: "الرواية السوريّة/ التجربة والمقولات النظريّة"٬ (2009) "الخصوصيّة الثقافيّة في الرواية العربيّة" (2011) و"مرآة الغريبة - مقالات في نقد الثقافة" (2006) إضافة إلى رواية "عين الهرّ" (2009) ورواية "سجاد عجميّ" (2013). وقد سبق لها أن شاركت في ورشة الكتابة الإبداعية "الندوة" التي تديرها الجائزة لتشجيع شباب الكتّاب الواعدين وكتبت قسما من روايتها "سماء قريبة من بيتنا" خلال تواجدها في ندوة عام 2014.

هذا الكتاب مجموعة من المقالات التي كتبتها بين عامي 2005 و2008، ونشرت في مجموعة من الصحف العرية على شكل مقالات أسبوعية في كل من المجلة الثقافية التي تصدر عن صحيفة الجزيرة السعودية، والقدس العربي اللندنية، وملحق الشباب الذي يصدر عن صحيفة الرأي الأردنية، وأخبار الأدب المصرية.
إن ما يجمع مقالات هذا الكتاب هي فكرة نقد الثقافة، ذلك أن كلاً منها يقارب ظاهرة أو معنى في الثقافة العربية الإسلامية قديمها وحديثها، يبسطه عبر إلماحة، أو حدث ما، يقدح زند المقالة، التي تناقش ذلك المعنى أو الظاهرة، أو تتابع تطورها التاريخي، أو تستشرف أفقاً ما يتعلق بها.
لعل ما دفعني إلى جمع هذه المقالات وتقديمها في كتاب، عدا عن أهمية فكرة نقد الثقافة، أن هذا النوع من الكتابة الأدبية، قد تم تأطيره بالكتابة الصحفية، مما يجعل المقالات مهما كانت ثمينة، تتلاشى مع تلاشي العدد الورقي من الصحيفة، أو تسقط بالتقادم من على شبكة الانترنت. في حين يضمن الكتاب الذي يجمع هذه المقالات حضوراً مستمراً بين يدي المتلقي، لا سيما أن المواد التي يضمها تندرج في حقل واحد، يتمتع بأهمية كبرى في هذه المرحلة من تاريخ الثقافة العالمية والعربية بخاصة، وهو حقل الدراسات الثقافية، الذي فتح الوعي العربي على أفكار من مثل الاستشراق، والذات والآخر، ونقد النص، وإعادة قراءة التراث، وتتبع أصل الظواهر الثقافية المعاصرة في كل من الثقافتين العالمة وغير العالمة.
