شهلا العجيلي كاتبة أردنية سورية ولدت عام 1976. حاصلة على دكتوراه في الأدب العربي الحديث والدراسات الثقافية من جامعة حلب، وعملت بتدريس الأدب العربي الحديث في جامعة حلب والجامعة الأميركية في مادبا في الأردن.
الجوائز
أصدرت مجموعة قصصية بعنوان "المشربيّة" (2005) ودراسات نقدية عديدة، من بينها: "الرواية السوريّة/ التجربة والمقولات النظريّة"٬ (2009) "الخصوصيّة الثقافيّة في الرواية العربيّة" (2011) و"مرآة الغريبة - مقالات في نقد الثقافة" (2006) إضافة إلى رواية "عين الهرّ" (2009) ورواية "سجاد عجميّ" (2013). وقد سبق لها أن شاركت في ورشة الكتابة الإبداعية "الندوة" التي تديرها الجائزة لتشجيع شباب الكتّاب الواعدين وكتبت قسما من روايتها "سماء قريبة من بيتنا" خلال تواجدها في ندوة عام 2014.

ما زال عالم الرواية مدى واسع الأفق، تتجلى فيه عبقرية الزمان والمكان، وتتشعب فيه الأفكار والدراسات، ومن هذه الدراسات الجادة ما نحن بصدده في هذا الكتاب؛ حيث يتناول مفهوم الخصوصية الثقافية، كما تجلى في النص الروائي العربي في المرحلة الواقعة بين حرب الخليج الثانية والعقد الأول من القرن العشرين، ويقوم بتحديد ملامحه التي لم تتضح بعد.
وقد تناول الكتاب عبر فصوله الثلاثة، ثلاثة محاور لهذا المفهوم: "النسوية، القومية، الإثنية/ الدينية" وهي المحاور الممثلة أساساً للهوية الثقافية، وذلك من خلال نصوص روائية عربية من مجموع نتاجات الروائيين في الدول العربية، وقد حدد هذا التناول كل من جنسية المبدع، والقضية التي تناولها النص ضمن أحد أشكال الخصوصية الثلاثة. ولعل هذه الدراسة تكون تحديداً لمفهوم تناولته الأقلام في الفترة الأخيرة هلامياً غير واضح المعالم.
