يجد القارئ طي هذه الصفحات ثلاثة مقالات عن جوزيف برودسكي، وأربع مجموعات من شعره. أما المقالات فمترجمة عن مجلة جورجيا ريفيو الأميركية، عدد ربيع العام 1995، وكان هذا العدد قد خصص للحديث عن خمسة عشر أديباً من أدباء نوبل، يتحدث الموضوع الأول، المعنون "جوزيف برودسكي" عن حياة الشاعر، والموضوع الثاني هو نص المحاضرة التي ألقاها لمناسبة فوزه بجائزة نوبل، أما الموضوع الثالث فهو مقال نقدي كتبه الناقد السويسري فلاد جودزيتش.
وأما القصائد فمترجمة عن عدة مصادر، فالمجموعة الأولى المعنونة "وجه المأساة" أخذت من عدة مجلات بريطانية وأمريكية، وهي الأجد من بين القصائد المنشورة، إذا أنها نشرت في أعوام التسعينيات. أما المجموعة الثانية فمترجمة عن ديوان الشاعر المعنون "إلى يورانيا"، وقد كتبت في سنوات الثمانينيات. وأما المجموعة الثالثة فمترجمة عن ديوان "جزء من كلام" وكتبت في سنوات السبعينيات، وأخيراً، فإن المجموعة الرابعة مترجمة عن ديوان "أغنية بلا موسيقى" وكتبت في سنوات السبعينيات والستينيات.
