صفية مختار: تخرَّجتْ في كلية الألسن، قسم اللغة الإنجليزية، جامعة عين شمس، عام ٢٠٠٧. وتَرجمَت خلال حياتها المهنية العديدَ من الكُتُب مع مكتبة جرير، ومن ضمنها: «المسار السريع للتسويق»، و«المسار السريع للأمور المالية»، و«أقصى إنجاز لبراين تريسي»، بالإضافة إلى بعض روايات أجاثا كريستي، وبعضٍ من سلسلة كُتُب «شوربة دجاج للحياة». جاء كتابُها «البوذية: مقدمة قصيرة جدًّا» الذي نشرته «مؤسسة هنداوي» ضمن القائمة القصيرة للكتب المُرشَّحة للفوز بجائزة الشباب المُقدَّمة من المركز القومي للترجمة.
وفضلًا عن كونها مُترجِمة، فهي كاتبة وشاعرة، ونُشر لها العديد من الأعمال في الصحف، مثل صحيفة المصري اليوم وجريدة الشارع، ومجلة كلمتنا ومجلة الثقافة الجديدة، ولها مجموعة قصصية بعنوان «وسال على فمها الشيكولاتة» صادرة عن دار اكتب للنشر والتوزيع.
عملت في «مؤسسة هنداوي» حتى عام ٢٠١٨ في وظيفة مُترجِم أول؛ حيث تولت ضمن فريق المترجمين بالمؤسسة مسئولية ترجمة الكتب من مُختلِف المجالات.
