لقد حظي القرآن الكريم من أتباعه بما لم يَحظ به أي كتاب آخر من وجوه الرعاية والإهتمام حيث التفوا حوله لفهم نصوصه المطهرة، والعمل بما تتضمنه من أحكام، وتوفروا على دراسته، فتركوا لنا ثروة علمية ضخمة أبانت ما بذله العلماء في خدمة هذا الكتاب من جهد.
ومن ذلك ما نراه من التراث التفسيري الضخم الذي تكتظ به المكتبة الإسلامية على سعتها، ومن ضمنه تفسير الإمام البيضاوي، وقد ألف هذا التفسير في القرن السابع الهجري، وكان له صدى كبير في نفوس مَنْ جاء بعده من العلماء وطلاب العلم.
وعليه، جاء هذا البحث عن حياة البيضاوي وتراثه العلمي، ودراسة تفسيره ومنهجه الذي سار عليه وقد قسمت الرسالة إلى أربعة أبواب وخاتمة، وأن تأتي الدراسة على النحو الآتي: خصص الباب الأول لدراسة حياة البيضاوي وتراثه العلمي، ولما كان من الطبيعي الدخول في دراسة تفسير البيضاوي بعد الفراغ من دراسة حياته وتراثه العلمي، فقد جاء الباب الثاني ليكون مدخلاً لهذا التفسير.
وتحدث المؤلف في الباب الثالث عن منهجه التفصيلي في آيات القرآن الكري، وجاء الباب الرابع والأخير في فصلين، تحدث في الفصل الأول عن القيمة العلمية لتفسير البيضاوي، وفي الفصل الثاني تعرض إلى أقوال العلماء وموقفهم من هذا التفسير، وفي الخاتمة لخص المؤلف أهم ما يمكن الإشارة إليه في حياة البيضاوي وتفسيره.
