بين مزيج من لطائف الفكر ورقة المشاعر، يخط الشاعر والروائي اللبناني "نزار دندش" ديواناً في الغزل سمَاه "وفي البلد كان الغزل" فأجمل به عنواناً، وديواناً ترف له القلوب، لا لشيء إلا لأنه ينم عن عواطف صادقة ورهافة ذوق تميز بها شاعرنا عن غيره؛ إنه الغزال المهذب الذي يحترم المرأة، ولا يبتذلها، ويعظم الجمال ويكرمه، بكلمات هي الأجمل، والأحب إلى قلبه.. في قصيدة بعنوان [دهشة] يقول: "ما كنت أعلم أن الحب ممتلك، وللقلوب التي نشتاق ملاك/ كما التراب الذي بالشبر نحسبه، ما همنا فيه أزهار وأشواك/ كما العطور التي بالمال نملكها، فالكون صنارة تلقى وأسماك(...)".
ولا يقتصر غزل نزار على المرأة وحسب، وإنما يتغزل ببلدته الهرمل مسقط رأسه وملعب طفولته، ومسرح أحلامه وآماله؛ فالهرمل بلدة مباركة لديه، محببة إلى قلبه، أصيلة بتقاليدها، وقيمها وعنفوانها، وحب أبنائها لوطنهم.. وفيها يقول: "بوركت هرمل نهرٍ قد عصى القدرا، غنيتك العز والتاريخ والكبرا/ يا لمسة السحر، والإبداع مكتمل، بحسنك الحسن من روعٍ قد انبهرا(...)".
ومن قصائد الديوان نذكر: "سكرة الغزل"، "هام الجمال"، "عشق على الورق"، "حورية"، "للحسن أبتسم"، "بك الزهر يختصر"، "قد عافني الشعر"، "الوصايا السبع"، "شاب الغرام"(...)الخ.
