ترصد هذه الدراسة حالة «الجدار العازل الإسرائيلي»، بوصفه أحدث الجرائم العنصريّة المتمادية التي نفّذها الاحتلال الإسرائيليّ في فلسطين، وأكثرها دلالةً على الجذور الفكريّة الصهيونيّة التي أرست هذا الجدار نفسيّاً وسياسيّاً وثقافيّاً، قبل أن تـُرسيهِ ماديّاً حول أراضي الضفة الغربيّة، ولا سيّما منطقة المثلث والقدس.
بدأ الاحتلال الإسرائيليّ ببناء هذا الجدار عام 2002، واستكمله بالرغم من قرار محكمة العدل الدوليّة في لاهاي عام 2004 القاضي بعدم شرعيّته، وبالرغم من أن 150 دولة في الجمعيّة العامّة للأمم المتحدة صوَّتت ضدّه.
ولعلّ ميزة هذه الدراسة، هي أنها تجمع بين محورين: التحقيقِ الأكاديمي، والتشريحِ الثقافيّ والسياسيّ لحقيقة الجدار، بما هو رمزٌ لكلِّ المشروع الاستيطانيّ الصهيونيّ الاستعماريّ في فلسطين.
مركز دراسات الوحدة العربيّة يأمل أن يؤدّي هذا الكتاب دوراً موثـِّراً في تعميق الوعي بالمخاطر الصهيونيّة والاستعماريّة التي تستهدف الوطن العربيّ كلّه، لا فلسطين فحسب.
