يركز هذا الكتاب على مواضيع الخلاف بين عقود المعلوماتية ونظرية العقد، حيث تتبع العقد منذ نشوءه وحتى نهاية، ومن خلال ذلك وأكبر نقاط الخلاف دون الخوض في الاحكام التفصيلية لنظرية العقد ،ولذلك بحث الكتاب في انعقاد العقد؛ فتحدث عن التراضي، وصحته وعيوب الإدارة، والتدليس وأثر عيوب الإرادة على القوة الملزمة للعقد وانتقل إلى موضوع المحل، والمقابل (الثمن) في عقود المعلوماتية، وشروط المحل في المقابل(الثمن) واعتماد سعر الوحدة في تحديد المقابل وغير ذلك ونقلنا الكتاب إلى الوثائق في العقود المعلوماتية وأثرها، ففسر العقد وحدد سريان، وكيفية إعداد وثائق عقد المعلوماتية صيغة العقد، وشروط الأربع زوايا وغيرها وناقش أثار عقد المعلوماتية، فعرف الالتزام بنقل الملكية وشرحه، وبيع الموال المستقبلية، وفصل في الموضوع التنازل عن برامج الحاسوب وأوضح الكتاب التزام المتعهد بالضمان؛ فذكر الصعوبات في تطبيق قواعد العيب الخفي، أثار ضمان العيب الخفي، وأثار ثبوت العيب ثم حدد التزامات المستفيد، فذكر التزامات المستفيد بالتعاون والالتزام بالتسليم، والتزام المستفيد بدفع المقابل وشرح موضوع التنازل عن العقد، وانتهاء عقود المعلوماتية بالفسخ والانحلال، وشرح الإعفاء من المسؤولية الناشئة عن إخلال المتعاقد بالتزامه، وتعويض الضرر.
