انطلاقاً من هنا فقد سلط الفصل الأول الضوء على أصل الخوارج ونشأتهم، ليدرك القارئ الكريم، أن مختلف الحركات الخارجية القديمة منها والمعاصرة، غريبة المنشأ، وأنها نشأت في رحم اليهودية، ورضعت من لبانها، مما يجعل لزاماً على المسلمين أن يأخذوا حذرهم من كل فكر خارجي، دخيل على الإسلام.
ثم عرج الفصل الثاني على تاريخ الخوارج، ملماً بمختلف الحركات الخارجية التي ظهرت خلال التاريخ الإسلامي، ثم تحدث الفصل الثالث عن عقائد الخوارج بشكل عام، ليتوسع الفصل الذي يليه في الجانب العقدي لكل فرقة من فرق الخوارج، على حدة.
