يحاول الباحث من خلال دراسته هذه الكشف عن مكامن الإبداع في اللغة العربية والذي كانت جلية في فواتح القصائد والسور هو ما عبر عنه الباحث ببراعة الاستهلال وغاية الدارسة الكشف عن الخصائص الكامنة في العمل الشعري القديم، والتي لم تتضح في أذهان نقاده والمفسرين له، وليس هذا ارجعاً إلى عجز عند هؤلاء النقاد وإنما يرتد إلى المنهج النقلي في حكاية الآراء وروايتها، وكأن الأمر عندهم بلغ حدّ التقديس، الذي لا ينبغي أن يشارك فيه ذوق آخر
أما القرآن فله موقف آخر، هو أنه أقرّ مصطلحين هما: المحكم والمتشابه، وعلى الآخر حملوا كل ما لا ينقاد لهم فيه الفهم، شأن التجوز والنسخ وما إليهما من العام والخاص، والمطلق والمقيد. والواقع أن الحروف بورودهما في النص القرآني، دفعت إلى التحرج والتأثم في تفسيرها وتأويلها، وهو تفسير نقلي أيضاً، أما حملاً على ابن عباس أو على غيره من الصحابة والتابعين. غير أنه بعد أن خفّ هذا التحرج، أنشأ بعض العلماء يحاولون أن يصلوا إلى رأي في وجه الحكمة دون تحديد المعنى، ومن هؤلاء الفخر الرازي.
والباحث تناول ما مضى من نصوص وكان درسه لها بما هي صور صوتية يجليها الأداء القرآني. ومن هنا قسم دراسته هذه إلى ثلاثة أقسام؛ أولها: فواتح القصائد. وثانيها: آراء العلماء المسلمين في فواتح السور. وثالثها: النظم القرآني، وفواتح السور، رأي ومنهج. وقد انتهى في هذه الدراسة إلى نتائج أجمل القول فيها في الخاتمة... معتمداً لتلك الدراسة على مصادر ومراجع كثيرة منها القديم والحديث والعربي وغير العربي. مستعيناً في ذلك كله بصدق الرغبة في البحث والأمانة فيه.
