تعدّ الهندسة من الموضوعات التي لا غنى عنها في أي منهاج رياضيات لجميع الصفوف في المراحل الدراسية المختلفة، حيث لا يكاد يخلو أي كتاب رياضيات من وحدة أو وحدتين حول موضوعات الهندسة، ويتم تنظيم هذه الوحدات منطقياً وسيكولوجياً عبر الصفوف المختلفة.
ويأتي في هذا الكتاب تسعة فصول، تناول الفصل الأول ماهية الهندسة وتطورها، أما الفصل الثاني فقد تضمّن عرضاً لمفاهيم أساسية في علم الهندسة، اشتملت على مفاهيم غير معرّفة ومفاهيم معرّفة، فيما تناول الفصل الثالث أساليب البرهان الرياضي: المباشر وغير المباشر، وقد تم تخصيص الفصل الرابع للحديث عن الإنشاءات الهندسية باستخدام المسطرة غير المدرّجة والفرجار.
وتناول الفصل الخامس مفاهيم وحالات التطابق والتشابه والتكافؤ للأشكال الهندسية، وبعض النظريات والتطبيقات على كل منها، فيما تناول الفصل السادس وحدات قياس: الطول والمساحة والحجم والسعة والكتلة ودرجة الحرارة والزمن، مع تطبيقات رياضية على كل منها، وقد تم إفراد الفصل السابع للحديث عن الدائرة ونظرياتها، فيما تناول الفصل الثامن الهندسة الإحداثية أو التحليلية أو المستوية، وتم تخصيص الفصل التاسع والأخير للتحويلات الهندسية.
