"الحياة فرص، والفرص الكبيرة لا تطرق الأبواب فمن يريدها عليه أن ينتزعها انتزاعاً ويكتسبها لشعبه ولنفسه، وعلى الإنسان أن يتسلح بروح القوة وصلابة الإرادة والعزيمة والرغبة في انتزاع الفرص الكبيرة لكي لا يعيش على فتات الأسود. لن أترك فرصة في انتظار فرصة أخرى، لكننا لا نصل إلى المركز الذي نتمناه. كل ما وصلنا إليه لا شيء بالنسبة لرؤيتي. كل ما ترونه ليس إلا بداية الطريق. كل ما ترونه مواقف صغيرة تؤدي إلى المحطة الكبيرة، وكل ما ترونه مجرد لبنات القاعدة التأسيسية لما هو قادم ومنها سنصنع الصرح الكبير الذي أريده لشعبي ثم سأتمنى من الباقين أن يفعلوا الشيء نفسه في الدول العربية الأخرى لكي نبني التنمية المتميزة، وهذه يد الإمارات بيدكم فلنبدأ. أعرف أن الطريق إلى ما نخطط له من التنمية والتحديث والبناء شاق وأعرف أنه طويل وأعرف أن المراحل القادمة أصعب وأطول وأهم لكنني أؤمن بربي ثم أثق بشعبي وبحكمة قيادتي وبمستقبل أمتي وأنا واثق من أننا سنحقق كل أهدافنا بإذن الله. رؤيتنا واضحة وطريقنا ممهد والساعة تدق، ولم يبق مجال أو وقت للتردد أو أنصاف الأهداف والحلول. كثيرون يتكلمون ونحن نفعل، والتنمية عملية مستمرة لا تتوقف عند حد، والسباق نحو التميز ليس له خط نهاية".
