صحيح أن الديمقراطية منهج الحكم المنشود في الوجود السياسي الحديث ، ولكن هل هي النقيض التام للإسلام ؟ .
والسيادة قطب الرحى في الولة الحديثة ، هل هي المضاد الكامل للحاكمية ؟. الحرية ، والعقل ، والإرادة ، والقدرة على الإختيار الواعي ، كلها مبادئ أساسية في دولة القانون ، لماذا تنقلب على المبدأ الأسمى الذي يلزم المسلمين جميعاً التسليم به ، مبدأ ((الحكم لله )) ؟.أما المساواة ، روح صحيح أن الديمقراطية منهج الحكم المنشود في الوجود السياسي الحديث ، ولكن هل هي النقيض التام للإسلام ؟ .

لماذا يقدر دعاة الإسلام السياسي على استهواء مجموعات كبيرة من الناس، ومن الشباب على وجه الخصوص؟ ما السحر أو الجاذبية التي يجدها شبان يعيشون في دول أوربية، يحملون جنسياتها، بالتنظيمات الإسلامية ؟ ولماذا يبلغ الإيمان بقضية الإسلام السياسي درجة الإقبال على فعل الإرهاب، والتمنطق بالأحزمة الناسفة؟
لقد درس المؤلف نظرية الدولة عند دعاة الإسلام السياسي، خلال مدة زمنية تقرب من ستة عقود ماضية، وراجع النصوص التي كتبت في الموضوع، ليستخلص بنية خطاب الإسلام السياسي، والعناصر المكونة لهذا الخطاب.
