في هذا الكتاب "مقالات" كتبها نصري الصايغ، بصوت مرتفع، ونشرها في جريدة "السفير" في السنوات "السمان" التي شهدت اندلاع "الثورة العربية الديمقراطية" فأطاحت بأنظمة استبدادية وهددت استباحها في الدول العربية.
ليست هذه الكتابات رصداً أو وصفاً أو تحليلاً لأحداث جديدة ومبتكرة وتأسيسية، وهي ليست مصاغة وفق النهج الكلاسيكي في كتابة المقالة. فالحدث التاريخي الجديد، يستلزم لغة جديدة وأساليب تعبير جديدة، تمزج ما بين الواقعية الشديدة من جهة وتأثيراتها النفسية واستطاعاتها الانفعالية من جهة ثانية.
