مساله جایگاه علوم طبیعت(علوم فیزیکی و زیستی)در قرآن همواره مورد بحث فضلای مسلمان بوده و در مورد آن دیدگاه های مختلفی ابراز شده و طبیعتا شبهات گوناگونی پیرامون آن مطرح شده است.به نظر نویسنده، برای شناخت طبیعت، هم باید به تجربه پرداخت و هم از نظریه پردازی بهره برد، چنانکه در محیط های علمی روز انجام می شود.اما استفاده از علوم طبیعت باید با حکمت توام بوده و با ارزش های اخلاقی مساله جایگاه علوم طبیعت(علوم فیزیکی و زیستی)در قرآن همواره مورد بحث فضلای مسلمان بوده و در مورد آن دیدگاه های مختلفی ابراز شده و طبیعتا شبهات گوناگونی پیرامون آن مطرح شده است.به نظر نویسنده، برای شناخت طبیعت، هم باید به تجربه پرداخت و هم از نظریه پردازی بهره برد، چنانکه در محیط های علمی روز انجام می شود.اما استفاده از علوم طبیعت باید با حکمت توام بوده و با ارزش های اخلاقی سازگار باشد و از سوی دیگر، جهان بینی قرآنی باید بر این علوم حاکمیت داشته باشد. بعد علمی امت اسلامی، نقش علم و صنعت در جامعه اسلامی، رویکردی قرآنی به علم و ارزش های اخلاقی، ضرورت پیوند دانش با حکمت، بعد علمی قرآن کریم و شناخت طبیعت از نظر قرآن کریم، فصولی هستند که نویسنده در ذیل آنها به ابعاد مختلف علوم طبیعت از دیدگاه قرآن پرداخته است.
