في اللحظة إذ أخرج من صمتي، تغرز مخالبها الشمس بصدري، كانت كفّي سنبلة، تلتف على قلبي، فدمي كالحنظل مرّ، يرتاب إلى الجرح ويغريني، من منفاه إلى مسراه، فعلى هامش جرحي، يفتتح العالم مجراه، وعلى صخرة قلبى حفر العالم ذاكره، فإذا ما سمّاني نسيا فلأنّي أوسع عهداً من معناه، ناديتك ياسوسنة الروح هلمي، سيصير النسيان ضباباً، يطوي الآفاق إلى أرض تمنحنا حاضرها لغد مسلوب الذّكرى، من أدنى سمرات الروح لأقصى نفثات الطين. لم أبدأ بعد وقد حطّ غراب الضوء على جفني، فتلاشيت كما النسيان يذوب بمطرقة الزمن الآتي، ظمأى لون تاه بصحراء الماس سنينا". الشعر في هذا الديوان ليس مجرد كلمات تناثرت خطّت بحبر على ورق، وإنما هي جزء من ذات الشاعر، صورة عن خلجاته وأشجانه، صورة بجم وطن وأمة، جزء من تاريخ وقضية.
