تنتمي قصص مجموعة (امرأة اللوحة) في أحد أوجهها لمسارات التأمل والمراجعة لقيم المتعة والغواية في اقترانها بالحرية والمطلق، إلى ذلك النحو من السرد الروئي الذي يماهي بين التخيل وحالة المروق الذهني، في سعي واضح من الكاتبة لتخطي طبقة المحظورات المتراكمة عبر السنين في المجتمع الشرقي من جهة، ومن جعة ثانية في علاقة الرجل بالمرأة.
هي قصص تختصر حيوات لنساء ورجال يحكون غربتهم وتشظيهم، عبر خطابات تحمل في طياتها الكثير من الأسئلة لحالات وجدانية شفافة تلامس جانباً خفياً في تكوين شخصيات أبطالها حتى بدت الحكايات وكأنها تبحث عمن يتممها لتكمل الإجابة عما ينتظره كل رجل وكل امراة من الآخر.
يضم الكتاب عشرة قصص قصيرة هي: "اسمي"، "علاقات"،"خشية"، "امرأة اللوحة"، "زمن طويل"، رواية أخرى"، غواية"، "اللعبة"، "حلم"، رجل آخر".
