بالأبيض والأسود، أكتب، الأبيض لي، والأسود لك؛ فأنت رجلٌ عتيق، وأنا امرأة ما زالت صرختي بيضاء. أحبُّ الصور ايام زمان، زمن أبي، أي ، قبل دخول حكاية الصور الملوّنة، وقبل أن تحضر صورّ أخرى منفلتة من الذاكرة، ومن حيوات عشتها، وتحل محل صورتنا. فالذاكرة تخون، هكذا، بلا توقع أو استئذان . وأنا لا أريد خيانة صورتنا: صورتنا الأولى. الأبيض لي، كما قلت قبل قليل، والأسود لك. في لحظات كهذه اللحظات أحاول أن أكون نفسي، كما أراني، وليس كما تراني؛ لهذا عليّ أن أعود إلى أماكن كثيرة، لألتقي بي، وأتفحّصني دون توقف، ودون مواربة، ما أمكنني ، ودون خجل أنثوي مفتعل (تجيده النساء). لا أستطيع أن أكتب دون أن أكذب، أكتب وأكذب، أكذب وأكتب لأكون، وأصدقني، مثلما صدقتك حين قلت": أحبكِ، آنئذ حملت الكلمة معي، في تلك الليلة المباركة (لا أدري إن كانت كذلك) من ذلك الزمن الذي أحاول أن استوقفه لاكتبه هنا، قبل أن يتسّرب من بين أصابعي ويصبح ذكرى، كأي ذكرى: قديمة ومالحة، حزينة وبعيدة.
