إن مبدأ الرجوع إلى الله عزّ وجلّ لا بد أن يخرج من دائرة التعصب إلى دائرة النقد الذاتي للنفس ولكل ما يجري حولها، وبعبارة أخرى: من أجل إتخاذ موقف أو إعتناق مبدأ لا بد من التحرر من كل القيود التي تعيق حركة التفكير، والنقد الموضوعي لكل شيء.
والتاريخ يحفل بالوقائع التي تدل على أن غير المؤمنين بالله تعالى رفضوا الحقيقة الإلهية لأجل تعصبهم لفكرةٍ ما رغم وضوح بطلانها.
إننا أمام عالم يمزقه التعصب بكل أوجهه، حتى أن العلماء - أحياناً - لا يمكنهم التخلي عن تعصبهم لفكرة معينة لأجل تمسكهم بغريزتهم العاطفية وهواهم فيها، وترك عقولهم جانباً.
لذلك يدعو هذا الكتاب بالعودة إلى الجذور الفطرية والإيمان بوجود الله عزّ وجلّ الواحد، والتأكيد على الجانب الأخلاقي، والروحي في طبيعة الإنسان بعد أن أهمل وفسّر بالوهمية والثانوية لقرونٍ عديدة.
