نقرأ في هذا الكتاب قصصاً رائعة عن الأنبياء عليهم السلام كما وردت في القرآن الكريم، نكتشف معها التجارب الماضية والحية التي عاشها أنبياء الله، يعرفها المؤلف "بسام مرتضى" بهدف أن يأخذ المؤمنين منها الموعظة الحسنة والحكمة الإلهية من حدوثها.
يبدأها بقصة أبو البشرية "آدم" ومعه "حواء"، يقول الله تعالى: "وإذ قال ربك للملائكة إني جاعل في الأرض خليفة".
يلي ذلك قصة "نوح" والطوفان، "إبراهيم" والفداء والتي جاءت في سورة الصافات كذلك قصة إبراهيم وبناء البيت؛ وقصته ونمرود وهو وصف لملك كان قد وصف به لتمرده على الله، وفي سورة البقرة نقرأ قصة الملك طالوت، أما في سورة الأنعام فنقرأ قصة داود عليه السلام، أما قصة النبي سليمان مع ملكة سبأ فهي في سورة ص، وكذا نتعرف على الغاية التي بعث الله من أجلها النبي موسى وقصته مع السامري، أما قصة البقرة فنتعرف عليها في سورة البقرة في الآيات 67-74 في القرآن الكريم، ومن هي آسية امرأة فرعون وما قصتها؟ ومن هو ذو القرنين في سورة الكهف، والرجل الصالح النبي عزير، كذلك يضيء الكاتب على قصة زكريا والنبي يحيى، ومريم عليها السلام وعيسى المسيح، وإلياس، ومن هم أصحاب الرس؟، وأصحاب الأخدود؟, وقصة يونس... إلخ.
كذلك يكشف لنا المؤلف محطات هامة للدعوة النبوية الشريفة وهجرة الحبشة الثانية، وكيف تصرف يهود المدينة، وما دار في غزوة بدر وغزوة مؤتة، وكيف تمّ الفتح الأعظم على يد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وأخيراً غزوة تبوك وحجة الوداع ومرض الرسول ووفاته صلى الله عليه وسلم.
